Siltex (Australia) Pty Ltd, located in East Bentleigh, has a vacancy in its expanding Service Department.

The position involves repair, maintenance and validation of benchtop Steam Sterilizers (Autoclaves).

Work is carried out in-house and on-site at a wide range of businesses including Dental practices, Medical practices, Vets, Podiatry Clinics and Beauty Salons.

Duties and responsibilities:

Perform routine and maintenance and calibration of medical equipment

Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning medical devices

Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff

Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

Conduct performance testing of medical devices

Other preventative maintenance of medical devices and complex medical systems

Minimum requirements:

Bachelors degree in biomedical engineering or a related field

Experience with medical device software and hardware troubleshooting

Strong understanding of clinical application for biomedical equipment

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams

Desirable skills:

Professional certification such as Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician

Strong organizational and documentation skills
