Caregiver-Personal Care Assistant

PM Shift 2:30 pm - 11 pm

At The Village at Garden Creek in San Luis Obispo, our caregivers perform personal care tasks including:

Assistance with personal hygiene grooming, ambulation, medical monitoring, and healthcare-related tasks
Fostering positive relationships between individuals served
Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment
Encouraging self-help activities
Reporting changes in residents' condition to nursing
Documenting services provided
Performing light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning
Reading, writing, and carrying out directions
Charting or taking notes for others to review
Providing companionship and supportive listening
Reporting changes in the health or status of the client
Responding to emergency situations

Qualifications:

A dedication to seniors and their well-being
Experience in senior caregiving, CNA/NA preferred, but not required
18 years of age or older
High school degree/GED
Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with all levels of personnel
Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
Must be able to pass DOJ fingerprinting and pre-employment health screening.
