Civil Engineer – AAAK Projects

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: AUD $90,000 – $105,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our delivery team. This role will be responsible for supporting the planning, design, and execution of construction and civil works, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards across our active projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the design and development of civil components including drainage, pavements, foundations, and access roads
2. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and site reports to support site managers and contractors
3. Coordinate subcontractors, site works, and inspection processes to ensure quality and compliance
4. Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and identify risks or non-conformance
5. Prepare estimates, technical reports, and work programs for internal and external stakeholders
6. Liaise with consultants, engineers, and suppliers to resolve technical issues in a timely manner
7. Ensure adherence to relevant building codes, environmental guidelines, and OH&S regulations
8. Contribute to project documentation, handovers, and post-construction review

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
2. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in civil or construction engineering roles
3. Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar
4. Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and local council regulations
5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
6. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced site environment

Desirable:

1. Previous experience in residential or commercial building projects
2. Familiarity with contract administration and tender documentation
