Human Resources Manager – AAAK Projects

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and manage the HR function across all divisions of AAAK Projects. This is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for overseeing recruitment, compliance, industrial relations, workforce planning, and organisational development. The successful candidate will partner closely with project and site managers to build a positive workplace culture aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support business growth and compliance
- Manage full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and exit processes
- Provide expert advice on employment law, Fair Work compliance, and award interpretation
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and support workforce planning across project sites
- Coordinate training and development programs to upskill staff and support safety goals
- Maintain HR records and ensure data integrity across HR systems
- Oversee workplace investigations, grievance resolution, and performance issues
- Prepare HR reports for management and support audits as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and workplace laws
- Proven experience managing HR in construction or similar field-based industries
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
