National Distribution Manager

Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 per annum + superannuation (commensurate with experience)

Smart Healthcare Pty Ltd is a leading Australian company in the health and wellness industry, with a national network of retail stores and online platforms supplying high-quality therapeutic equipment for home use. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a qualified and experienced National Distribution Manager to lead and optimise our supply and distribution operations. This role will be responsible for managing international procurement, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the efficient delivery of products across our Australian retail and online channels.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, direct, and coordinate the storage and distribution of imported health and wellness equipment
  2. Formulate strategies to manage inventory across retail locations nationwide
  3. Manage international procurement operations, including liaison with manufacturers and suppliers in Korea and China
  4. Ensure timely clearance of goods through customs and compliance with import regulations
  5. Oversee warehousing, stock control, and transport logistics from the principal warehouse
  6. Lead a team of logistics, warehouse, and distribution staff to ensure efficient supply chain operations
  7. Implement inventory management systems and monitor key supply chain metrics
  8. Negotiate contracts and service levels with third-party logistics and freight providers
  9. Ensure compliance with Australian workplace health and safety standards in warehousing and logistics operations
  10. Prepare reports on supply performance, inventory forecasts, and cost-saving initiatives

Skills and Experience Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field
  2. Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a managerial supply/distribution role
  3. Demonstrated experience managing national distribution and multi-channel retail logistics
  4. Strong understanding of international trade and import processes
  5. Proven leadership and staff management skills
  6. Proficiency in logistics software and inventory systems
  7. Excellent planning, organisational, and analytical abilities
  8. Knowledge of customs clearance procedures and regulatory compliance
  9. Fluency in Korean or Mandarin is desirable
