Office Manager

About the role:

As the Office Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks and duties:

  1. Maintains office services by organizing office operations and services;
  2. Managing staff to co-ordinate payroll, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, monitoring software updates (LEAP Software) and LEAP operations and compliance by all staff members;
  3. Managing and reviewing and approving supply requisitions, assigning and monitoring clerical functions;
  4. Maintains office efficiency by designing and implementing office systems, layouts and equipment/office supplier procurement;
  5. Managing and maintains office staff by recruiting, directing human resources with the selection and training of employees;
  6. Maintains office staff results and targets by coaching, counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitorin and appraising job results;
  7. Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up work results;
  8. Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, making necessary adjustments
  9. Managing accounts and records of the office by co-ordinating staff and directing to achieve financial objectives by monitoring the annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, initiating corrective actions;
  10. Keeps director informed by reviewing and analysing special reports, summarizing information, identifying trends;
  11. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending training, educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies;
  12. Monitoring to ensure office equipment, tools, supplies and data are maintained;
  13. Managing the compliance with occupational health and safety requirements and other relevant law (local authority, State or Federal) for compliance with policy and procedure in the office;
  14. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
  15. Managing historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced candidate who has knowledge and experience in managing an office environment.

Having experience in the position (1-2 years) is essential. Any experirence in the migration industry within Australia would be desirable. Any applications received with no verifiable work experience in the industry may not be contacted.

Skills Required:

  1. Sound knowledge and experience with LEAP Migration Manager is highly desirable, however experience in other practice management software may be considered.
  2. Able to work autonomously with a professional manner at all times
  3. General office management and ability to work with others
  4. Able to communicate effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
