We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to oversee our retail store renovation projects. The ideal candidate will oversee the cost estimation, tendering, progress tracking, and onsite quality control to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
This role requires occasional domestic and international travel to oversee project sites and collaborate with stakeholders. Mandarin speaking is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation & Budget Control
- Calculate and manage renovation costs, ensuring alignment with the allocated budget.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Tendering & Contractor Management
- Oversee bidding process, including preparing tender documents and evaluating contractor proposals.
- Negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and project requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to secure high-quality materials at competitive prices.
Project Coordination & Progress Management
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met on time.
- Coordinate with internal teams, designers, and contractors to streamline workflow.
- Identify potential project delays and implement corrective measures.
Onsite Supervision & Quality Control
- Conduct onsite inspections to ensure work meets quality and safety standards
- Identify and resolve any construction related issues promptly.
- Ensure all work complies with local building regulations and company guidelines.
About You:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in retail store renovation, construction project coordination, or related fields.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and safety regulations.
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
