We’re expanding our XtraClubs team and are looking for two exceptional Retail Managers to lead our clubs at Bondi Junction and Green Square.

About the Role

As Retail Manager, you’ll own the performance and daily operations of your club. You’ll lead your team, manage budgets, ensure compliance with health & safety standards, and deliver an exceptional member experience every day. This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same — from recruiting and training staff, to handling escalated customer queries, to overseeing maintenance and events.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruit, train, and manage Club Attendant staff
2. Build and manage rosters to meet customer demand and budget
3. Maintain compliance with company policies, SOPs, and health & safety standards
4. Oversee the upkeep, presentation, and safety of the club
5. Manage club budgets, track performance, and implement cost-efficiency initiatives
6. Handle escalated customer issues with professionalism and care
7. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams for smooth operations
8. Drive a consistently high standard of service across all touchpoints

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

1. Proven leadership & people management experience in a customer-facing environment
2. Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve escalated issues
3. Health & safety knowledge and first aid/CPR certification
4. Budget and roster management experience
5. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
6. Tech-savvy and confident using scheduling, booking, and office software

Desirable:

1. Qualifications in hospitality, business, or WHS
2. Previous P&L ownership
3. Experience in wellness, fitness, leisure, or hospitality sectors
4. Event or promotional activity experience
5. Multi-site or high-volume operations experience
