Reef Palms is looking for an experienced Motel Manager to oversee the motel operations in Cairns.

Responsibilities :

1. Manage, organize and control overall accommodation, and guest services of the motel.
2. Supervise all sections and improvements in operation to identify opportunities to improve service standards.
3. Ensure good communication and cooperation between the front office department and other departments.
4. Respond to guest feedback, manage stock orders and inventory, and maintain operational records.
5. Perform all duties accordingly with standards and the motel requirements.
6. Control and manage expenses of all motel departments.
7. Liaise closely with housekeeping to ensure that an optimum number of rooms/suites are available and all incoming guests' requirements are met.
8. Actively take part in sales activity within the hotel, including referral of leads to the Sales office
9. Read all reservation correspondence prior to the guest arrival to understand the needs and wants of the guests, updates and corrects information in accommodation software accordingly.
10. Conduct regular inspections of areas directly under his responsibility.
11. Plan and organize departmental periodical training sessions for staff.

Skills and Experience:

1. At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role
2. Relevant qualifications in Hospitality or Hotel Management
3. Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
4. A passion for customer service
5. Well presented with excellent communication skills
6. Ability to multitask while maintaining a calm and efficient demeanour
7. Should be passionate, energetic, and a proactive "can-do" mindset

Salary: $75,000-$80,000/year + super
