Business Data Analyst (Information and Organisation Professional)


Job description:

Directwire Pty Ltd is a dynamic information technology services and technology consulting company based in Australia, specialising in Guidewire products and their implementation. With extensive expertise across the ANZAC region, we provide digital and strategy consulting, and change management, helping our clients transform their organisations to get the most value from their Technology assets. We are seeking a skilled Business Data Analyst (Information and Organisation Professional) to join our consulting firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, data interpretation, organisational improvement strategies, and helping clients streamline operations and meet governance and compliance requirements.

Salary: $80,000-$100,000 per annum plus superannuation

Location: Parramatta, NSW

Role: Full-time

Key Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to

  1. Collect data, conduct analysis, and interpret business trends to provide actionable recommendations to improve operational performance and make data-driven decisions.
  2. Design and implement data solutions aligned with strategic business objectives, optimising organisational data architecture.
  3. Evaluate and optimise operational processes by identifying inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for digital process improvement and compliance.
  4. Work with various stakeholders and clients to develop and document business improvement, workflow, and governance models.
  5. Manage the end-to-end lifecycle delivery of enterprise reference data solutions to ensure alignment with operational needs and business objectives.
  6. Analyse client data requirements and existing data management practices to identify gaps in accountability, compliance, overall quality, and oversee the integration and optimisation of information systems
  7. Champion data management and governance practices, working with clients to ensure adherence to organisational, regulatory, and compliance frameworks.
  8. Perform data and technical verification, and support testing and releases to ensure smooth operations and the delivery of new processes.
  9. Monitor, review, and assess risks and compliance measures to uphold organisational integrity and sustainability.
  10. Guide best practices in data management to enhance data governance and data risk management capabilities.
  11. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes and review them regularly to ensure ongoing improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills required

  1. Master’s degree or higher in Business, Commerce, Management, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  2. Minimum 2 years of Australian work experience in an organisation and information management role, with data analysis within a consulting or corporate environment.
  3. Strong understanding of organisational governance, compliance, digital transformation, and reporting processes.

· Proficient in Power BI, Tableau and excel for analytics, reporting and issue tracking

· Understanding process mapping tools such as Visio, Lucidchart

  1. Experience working in IT consulting, the insurance sector, or data-driven business environments is preferred.
  2. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  3. Ability to interpret and translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  4. Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving capabilities.
  5. Proficiency in data modelling, reporting, and business improvement methodologies (Agile/Lean preferred).
  6. Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
