Senior Visual Designer

Role Overview


The senior designer reports to the VP of Creative and partners
with the Creative and Marketing teams to develop and define design
solutions for our brands. The work includes, but not limited to,
brand identity, packaging, social media, and advertising. The
senior designer has a well-rounded understanding of the design
process - you think like a strategist and create on-brand work that
inspires. You're confident in your ability to transform complex,
design challenges into tangible solutions. You share our commitment
to high quality work and to positive and productive relationships
with everyone.


Responsibilities


• Partner with the VP of Creative and cross functional
marketing teams to conceptualize, design, build, and extend
successful brand experiences.


• Lead aspects of projects; help to refine and develop
concepts into complete solutions.


• Execute the creation of new brand assets and design
solutions following creative briefs.


• Help maintain brand image by leveraging and evolving
brand identity and library of assets.


• Approach design problems conceptually, with a constant
desire to innovate.


• Managing deadlines, deliverables and a schedule of
projects across multiple disciplines at the same time.


• Communicating effectively to build internal and external
relationships.


Skills/Qualifications


• 6+ years design agency or in-house brand experience.


• Great understanding of design principles, design process,
and problem-solving strategies.


• A strong understanding of grid systems, composition, and
color; with a keen eye for typography, and meticulous attention to
detail.


• Experience in print production and pre-production a
plus.


• Experience working with identity systems and brand
guidelines.


• Experience in basic art-direction; define a style and
brief other designers.


• Comfortable collaborating with multiple stake
holders.


• Ability to interact in a professional manner maintaining
effective communication, both written and spoken including
presenting to internal and external audiences.


• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite. Adobe After Effects
and Adobe XD is a plus.


• Undergraduate degree. BFA or MFA a plus
