About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Senior Accountant based in Sydney. This position will be responsible for the full spectrum of nance functions in accordance with statutory requirements, company policies and procedures and supervises lower-level accounting support staff, and performs highly complex accounting duties in the analysis, preparation, reconciliation, and maintenance of financial records and reports.
Job Duties:
• Managing the internal accounting system through specialized software to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with ATO legislative reporting requirements.
• Supervise and support accounting and admin staff with invoicing, bookkeeping, and reconciliations.
• Providing financial forecasts, developing initiatives and policies to improve financial growth, consulting with the management team to develop long-term commercial plans.
• Supervising and reviewing trust account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting in line with NSW Fair Trading regulations.
• Liaising with external auditors and investigators to ensure our clients complete their audits, whilst also liaising with our clients to assist with these inspections.
• Overseeing the daily financial operations performed by accounting and administrative staff, including invoicing, bookkeeping, and account reconciliation, to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
• Coaching, mentoring and training junior staff members in the accounts team.
• Maintaining communication with external tax agents in preparing the BAS and Financial Statements, and annual tax return to make sure the tax obligations are met in a timely manner.
Qualifications and skills required:
• CA/CPA recent qualification or currently in progress
• Bachelor Degree or above in Professional Accounting
• Bilingual in Chinese and English with excellent communication skills
• Advanced excel skills will be highly regarded.
• At least three years relevant experiences in accounting &auditing
Salary Range:
$80,000- $90,000 plus superannuation
