A1 Electric Motors Pty Ltd is a fast-growing electrical motor service and repair company based in Shepparton, Victoria. Servicing commercial and industrial clients across regional Victoria, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, efficiency, and workplace safety. We are now seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our team and support our growing operations.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Director, you will play a crucial role in driving financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management strategies. You will provide critical financial insights and assist in strategic decision-making, as well as oversee internal reporting, compliance, and cost control processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop, analyse, and report on budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
  2. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for internal stakeholders
  3. Monitor financial variances and recommend corrective actions
  4. Implement and manage cost control procedures to optimise business performance
  5. Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards
  6. Support the Director with financial planning and data-driven decision-making
  7. Coordinate and maintain occupational health and safety (OH&S) record-keeping and training
  8. Contribute to risk management strategies and workplace safety compliance

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  1. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA qualified or working towards)
  2. Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a small to medium-sized business
  3. Strong analytical and reporting skills with a high attention to detail
  4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, or similar) and MS Excel
  5. A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative
  6. Excellent communication and organisational skills
  7. Understanding of OH&S principles and workplace risk management is highly regarded
