We’re growing and looking for a capable Practice Manager to lead daily operations and elevate our patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the dental practice to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Develop, implement, and monitor administrative systems, policies, and procedures to support clinical and reception functions.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy legislation, infection control standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Manage patient records, appointment scheduling, billing, and claims processing to maintain accuracy and confidentiality.
- Recruit, train, roster, and supervise staff; oversee performance management and professional development.
- Prepare and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures.
- Oversee accounts receivable/payable, payroll processing, and end-of-day financial reconciliation.
- Maintain supplier relationships, manage procurement, and ensure availability and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare operational and financial reports for management.
- Address patient enquiries, feedback, and complaints, ensuring high standards of service and patient satisfaction.
- Coordinate marketing, patient recall systems, and community engagement activities to grow the patient base.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma-level qualification (or higher) in practice management, health administration, or a related field — or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing a dental or other health practice.
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, privacy regulations, and infection control standards.
- Confident using dental practice management software and digital workflows.
- Financial literacy, including budgeting, purchasing, and KPI tracking.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Full work rights in Australia and ability to work onsite in VIC 3105.
