The Role

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate financial analysis, managing budgets, and providing strategic advice to support decision-making. Working closely with senior management, you’ll ensure the business maintains strong financial health while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

Occupation: Management Accountant

Salary: $76,000 – $78,000 + Superannuation

Location: Hoppers Crossing, Victoria

Full-Time Position

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare, analyse, and report on monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
2. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
3. Conduct cost analysis to identify savings and improve profitability
4. Monitor and report on key financial metrics and business performance
5. Manage accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processes as required
6. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and statutory requirements
7. Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders
8. Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and operational decisions

Skills & Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
2. Minimum three years of work experience
3. CPA/CA qualification (or working towards) preferred
4. Proven experience in a management accounting role
5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
6. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar) and MS Excel
7. Excellent organisational and time-management skills
8. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
