Position Overview:

We are excited to announce a position of Video Producer who will work at JDL Strategies. This role manages the entire video production process, from scripting and planning to filming, sound recording, editing, and final delivery. They oversee project schedules, budgets, equipment, and staff, ensuring high-quality content that meets creative and technical standards. Responsibilities may include directing talent, handling live streams or webinars, and managing client communication and distribution.

Tasks & responsibilities

Scripting & Pre-Production

1. Writing scripts, shot lists, and storyboards
2. Scheduling shoots, locations, logistics, and securing permits
3. Preparing and checking equipment

Filming & Audio

1. Operating or directing camera, lighting, and sound
2. Directing talent and capturing high-quality footage
3. Setting up microphones, recording clean dialogue/ambient sound, and managing noise

Editing & Post-Production

1. Importing and organizing footage
2. Editing with software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve), adding transitions, titles, music, and effects
3. Color correction, basic VFX, and supervising assistants

Delivery & Marketing

1. Exporting in correct formats, delivering via cloud/USB/social media
2. (Optional) Upload strategies, captions, thumbnails for engagement

Project Management & Live Streaming

1. Managing timelines, invoicing, budgets, and contractors
2. Planning and running webinars/live events: camera switching, overlays, audio/visual monitoring, audience engagement

Equipment & Research

1. Maintaining/upgrading gear and staying updated with industry trends

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor Degree or higher in the relevant field
2. At least one (1) year of relevant experience.

Benefits & Remuneration

· Salary commensurate with experience. $80,000 to $85,000 plus guaranteed superannuation.
