We are looking for a full-time accountant to join our team.

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum + Superannuation

Role Type: Full-time

Location: Sydney, NSW

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and accounting records for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals in line with statutory and professional standards.

· Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed asset registers.

· Monitor cash flow, prepare budgets and forecast, and analyse variances to support management decision-making.

· Develop, review, and implement accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.

· Prepare business activity statements, financial reports, and other statutory compliance documents in accordance with ATO and regulatory requirements.

· Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors during financial audits.

· Provide advice on appropriate tax strategies including cost management, financial planning, and performance improvement to management and clients.

· Oversee the implementation and use of accounting systems and software, ensuring data integrity and reporting accuracy.

· Train and guide junior accounting staff on financial reporting standards, accounting practices, and compliance requirements.

· Stay updated with accounting standards, legislative changes, and industry best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

· Master’s degree in business, commerce or related field.

· Minimum of 3 years accounting experience.

· Strong knowledge of Australian tax law and compliance requirements.

· Proficiency in Xero, MYOB AO, MYOB Classic, QuickBooks, and NowInfinity.

· Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and advisory skills.

· Strong time management and ability to handle multiple deadlines.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration.
