The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the financial planning and analysis functions, ensuring accurate and insightful reporting to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting consolidation process.
2. Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management.
3. Develop, enhance, and maintain advanced financial planning models to support business objectives.
4. Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide strategic insights to mitigate risks and optimize financial performance.
5. Assist in the formulation and execution of long-term financial planning strategies.
6. Manage and maintain accounting records for Joint Ventures, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
7. Oversee the maintenance of accounting and tax Fixed Asset Registers and capital project reporting in SAP.
8. Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform variance analysis to ensure financial accuracy.
9. Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency and effectiveness.
10. Lead and manage ad-hoc financial projects aimed at streamlining and optimizing business processes.

Key Selection Criteria:

1. Qualifications:
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
3. CPA or CA accreditation (or significant progress toward completion).
4. Experience:
5. Extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, particularly in large organizations with complex funding structures.
6. Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing consolidated budgets and forecasts.
7. Strong proficiency in financial reporting, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
8. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
9. Technical Skills:
10. Proficiency in financial software and enterprise systems, including SAP and Oracle (highly desirable).
11. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
12. Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Xero and MYOB.
13. Additional Skills:
14. Strong understanding of Australian taxation laws and financial regulations.
15. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present financial data to both financial and non-financial audiences.
16. Exceptional project and time management abilities, with the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
