Salary: $78,000 – $85,000 + Superannuation

Minimum Requirements:

  1. AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma with minimum 3 years’ experience in a retail management role, preferably in a service station or fast-paced convenience setting.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and run the day-to-day store operations to meet sales goals, manage costs, and keep everything running smoothly.
  2. Take charge of stock and fuel levels, order supplies, keep shelves and fuel pumps stocked, and work with suppliers to avoid delays or shortages.
  3. Ensure that the Store is kept clean, safe, and well-presented, making sure fridges, freezers, and food areas meet health standards and the store looks great for customers.
  4. Lead the team with a hands-on approach, train staff, support them during busy times, and make sure everyone follows safety and service procedures.
  5. Manage staff rosters, leave, and wages, and make sure shifts are covered, especially during early mornings and weekends.
  6. Build strong connections with the local community, including tradies, regulars, and nearby businesses, to encourage repeat visits and a loyal customer base.
  7. Develops and implement marketing strategies and promotions to increase store traffic and sales.
  8. Stay on top of fuel monitoring and forecourt issues, reorder fuel in time and fix or report any pump or equipment problems quickly.
  9. Track how the store is performing by reviewing sales, waste, supplier service, and customer feedback, and use that info to improve things.
  10. Work closely with head office and suppliers to sort out deliveries, plan local promotions, and make sure we’re ready for seasonal needs.
  11. Lead by example every day by dealing with customer issues calmly, support the team, and hand over shifts clearly so everything stays on track.

Skills & Attributes:

  1. Proven ability to manage a high-volume retail store or service station independently
  2. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a hands-on management style
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  4. Solid experience with POS systems, stock control software, and shift rostering tools
  5. A sharp eye for detail and visual merchandising
  6. Calm under pressure, solution-focused, and results-driven
