We are currently seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in formulating budgetary and accounting policies
- Prepare financial statements for presentation to boards, management, shareholders, and regulatory bodies
- Conduct financial investigations, prepare reports, and undertake audits
- Advise on purchases, sales of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency, and taxation
- Examine operating costs, income, and expenditures
- Provide assurance on the accuracy and statutory compliance of financial reports
- Offer financial and taxation advice on business structures, planning, and operations
- Prepare taxation returns for individuals and organizations
- Liaise with financial institutions and brokers for fund management arrangements
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and advise on computer-based solutions
- Maintain robust internal control systems
- Appraise cash flow and assess financial risks in capital investment projects
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Relevant work experience and/or on-the-job training may be considered
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting tools
- Solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
