Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our clients and internal operations by delivering expert financial guidance, compliance assurance, and strategic advice.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in formulating budgetary and accounting policies
2. Prepare financial statements for boards, management, shareholders, and statutory bodies
3. Conduct financial investigations, audits, and prepare relevant reports
4. Advise on business matters such as mergers, acquisitions, capital financing, fraud, insolvency, and taxation
5. Examine operating costs and analyze income and expenditure
6. Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial reports with statutory requirements
7. Provide business and taxation advice related to structures, operations, and strategic planning
8. Prepare tax returns for individuals and organizations
9. Liaise with financial institutions and brokers for fund management arrangements
10. Introduce, maintain, and advise on accounting systems, including computer-based platforms
11. Maintain robust internal control systems
12. Appraise cash flow and assess financial risk of capital investment projects

Ideal Candidate

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2. CPA/CA qualification (or working towards) preferred
3. Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting/taxation experience
4. Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and financial regulations
5. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite
6. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
7. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
