About Client:

Flash Line Transport is an established business located in Sydney, Australia with operations running across ACT, Melbourne, and Brisbane, with branches located in Oran region and Brisbane. We transport fresh produce across Sydney Metro, Newcastle, Wollongong, Hunter valley, Central Coast, Bathurst, and Dubbo followed by interchanges in Tarcutta. We have a fledgling business established in Sydney and we are actively pursuing further business to expand in the state.

Flash Line Transport is looking for a Delivery Driver to join their team in Kelso, NSW.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Start of Shift Duties

· Report to Work on Time

Arrive at the warehouse location at your allocated start time.

· Complete Flash Line Prestart

Perform vehicle and safety checks using the Flash Line Fleetio system.

· Check-in with Warehouse Team

Meet with the allocator, dispatch team, or AM supervisor in the warehouse office.

· Collect Delivery Documents

Gather all necessary paperwork, including invoices and pallet dockets.

2.Loading Process

· Load the Truck

Load goods carefully according to instructions in the paperwork. Assisting with loading to ensure goods are safely secured and arranged for easy delivery. Positioning vehicles correctly for loading and unloading.

· Verify Load Accuracy

Cross-check pallet counts against invoices to ensure accuracy.

· Secure Load with Load Restraints

Use approved restraints to secure the cargo safely and legally.

· Set Cargo Temperature

Adjust the truck’s refrigeration unit to the B&E-specified temperature.

3.Pre-Departure Tasks

· Log Records

Complete all required entries in your timesheet and Driver logbook (if applicable).

· Plan Delivery Route

Determining the delivery destination and selecting the most appropriate route

Use the truck navigation app to follow the correct delivery sequence.

4.Delivery Process

· Deliver Customer Orders

Ensure timely and accurate delivery at all scheduled drop-off points.

· Obtain Signatures

Collect customer signatures on invoices and pallet dockets as proof of delivery.

· Handle Pallet Exchange

Exchange pallets as required at each delivery.

· Obtain Delivery confirmation and Capture Proof of Delivery

Take clear photos of delivered items and delivery locations.

· Report Issues Immediately

Contact B&E dispatch for any issues. If unavailable, notify the Flash Line

team.

5.Post-Delivery Responsibilities

· Refuel the Truck

Top up diesel and AdBlue after completing all deliveries.

· Return to Warehouse

Return to the warehouse once your delivery run is finished.

· Submit Paperwork

Hand in all documents, including invoices, dockets, and any return/pickup forms.

· Unload Returns and Pallets

Offload any returned goods and empty/exchanged pallets.

6.End of Shift Duties

· Check for Additional Jobs

Confirm with the allocator or supervisor about any additional work and verify the next day’s start time.

· Wash Cargo Area

Perform a mandatory chemical wash of the cargo area per meat transport standards

· Park the Truck Safely

Securely park the truck in its designated location

Reporting any vehicle maintenance requirements.

· End Your Shift

Ensure all responsibilities are complete before signing off.

Skills and Qualifications:

·Minimum 2 years of experience working in a similar role

·Valid Driver’s License

·Police check

·Recent online driving record

·Fit-for-duty check

·Communication skills

·Problem-solving skills

·Time management skills

·Customer service skills

·Attention to detail

·Software/ technology skills for GPS tracking and route planning

·Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge

Salary: $76,000-$80,000/ year plus superannuation
