In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing services relating to compliance-based financial reporting, auditing, insolvency, accounting information systems, and advising on associated record-keeping requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience as an Accountant and a background in similar field.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

·BAS preparation, including GST calculations and reporting.

·Preparation and lodgement of various tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts.

·Ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.

·Providing tax planning advice to optimize tax outcomes for clients or the

organization.

·Liaising with the ATO and other relevant authorities regarding tax matters.

·Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.

·Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to help the organization plan its financial future effectively.

·Analysing financial data to provide insights into the organization's financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement.

·Assisting in the preparation for external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.

·Compiling financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal and external stakeholders.

·Processing payroll for employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

·Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, payment processing, and monitoring outstanding balances.

·Utilizing accounting software and systems to manage financial data efficiently and accurately.

·Providing financial advice and recommendations to management based on analysis of financial data and industry trends.

·Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

·Effectively communicating financial information to stakeholders including management, investors, and regulatory bodies

Bachelor level qualification in related field is desired but not a constraint for suitable candidate. Minimum 2-years of experience as an Accountant.
