About the Role:

Tristar Online is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at our Auburn office. This is a full-time, on-site role with responsibility for managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting management with financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  2. Develop, implement, and monitor accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls.
  3. Analyse income and expenditure to support business performance and funding needs.
  4. Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation, tax laws, and accounting standards.
  5. Prepare tax returns for individuals and organisations and provide tax advice.
  6. Assist with audits, financial investigations, and reporting on matters such as capital financing, mergers, and suspected fraud.
  7. Advise on business structures, investment strategies, and financial operations.
  8. Conduct budgeting and forecasting, and support long-term financial planning.
  9. Maintain accounting software systems and assist with system upgrades or changes.
  10. Liaise with banks and financial institutions to manage funds and financial arrangements.
  11. Review operating costs and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (essential).
  2. Previous experience in an accounting role is highly regarded.
  3. Excellent understanding of Australian tax and financial regulations.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  6. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  7. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  8. Full Australian work rights
  9. Some travel may be required to India and New Zealand and locally in Australia. This will be discussed with the successful Candidate at the interview
  10. Must be able to work on-site at our Auburn office (no remote work options available).
