Role: Accountant

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum

Location: Melonba NSW

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and records in line with statutory requirements.
2. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring for business operations.
3. Conduct reconciliations, variance analysis, and prepare financial models to support decision-making.
4. Prepare and lodge income tax returns, BAS, IAS, and other statutory compliance obligations.
5. Ensure adherence to Australian Accounting Standards and taxation regulations.
6. Provide financial advice to management on cost control, cash flow management, and profitability.
7. Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders as required.
8. Support the business with accounting insights to improve financial efficiency and growth strategies.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting or a related field.
2. Minimum 1 year of relevant professional accounting experience.
3. Sound knowledge of Australian accounting standards, compliance, and reporting obligations.
4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.
5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
