As we expand our impact, we are seeking a strategic and detail-driven Finance Manager to join
our leadership team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in safeguarding financial health, ensuring
compliance, guiding resource allocation, and supporting the growth of our care services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with Amana’s mission and growth objectives.
- Oversee all financial operations including general ledger, reconciliations, month-end and year-end processes.
- Prepare, present, and interpret financial statements, performance reports, and variance analyses to the executive team.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, funding allocations, and cost controls to sustain operations.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, NDIS / aged care funding requirements, GST, payroll tax, and statutory obligations.
- Act as the primary liaison with auditors, banks, regulatory bodies, and funding agencies.
- Lead the preparation and submission of BAS, tax returns, grant/acquittals, and other reports.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to protect assets and improve process efficiency.
- Conduct financial modelling, scenario planning, and cost–benefit analysis to support new programs or service expansions.
- Mentor, develop, and manage the finance team, promoting professional growth and high performance.
- Support tender processes, funding proposals, and contract evaluations by providing financial guidance and analysis.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year (or more) experience in a senior accounting/finance role. Experience in community services, healthcare, NDIS, or not-for-profit is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, funding models, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel / data analysis skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management ability.
- Strong analytical reasoning, commercial acumen, and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail, integrity, and accountability.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and deliver under tight deadlines in a mission-driven environment.
