We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in a full-time role in Pakenham, Victoria, Australia.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and review electrical systems, schematics, and layouts for industrial automation and control projects.
2. Prepare and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and electrical documentation (single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts).
3. Conduct load calculations, protection coordination, and fault level studies to ensure compliance with Australian standards.
4. Assist in the selection of electrical components, control panels, switchboards, and instrumentation equipment.
5. Participate in the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and control systems at client sites.
6. Support PLC, DCS, and SCADA system integration in collaboration with automation and software engineers.
7. Ensure electrical designs comply with safety, environmental, and quality requirements under AS/NZS standards.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues during commissioning and operational phases.
9. Prepare detailed reports, test records, and technical documentation for handover and compliance purposes.
10. Liaise with clients, vendors, and project teams to ensure timely project delivery and technical accuracy.
11. Provide input for project planning, cost estimation, and risk assessments for electrical works.
12. Stay updated with emerging technologies in industrial automation, renewable energy systems, and smart manufacturing.

Desirable Skills and Attributes

1. Strong understanding of electrical design principles and industrial automation systems.
2. Experience with PLC/DCS/SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Schneider, or Yokogawa).
3. Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN software.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative engineering team.

Academic Qualification and Experience Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, or Control Systems Engineering.
2. Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the industrial automation, manufacturing, or power sectors.
