We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in formulating and implementing budgetary and accounting policies.
2. Prepare financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing or statutory bodies.
3. Conduct financial investigations, prepare analytical reports, and undertake audits.
4. Advise on complex matters such as business acquisitions and sales, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency, and taxation.
5. Examine operating costs and assess income and expenditure to improve financial performance.
6. Provide assurance on the accuracy and compliance of financial reports with statutory and regulatory requirements.
7. Offer financial and taxation advice on business structures, strategies, and operations.
8. Prepare taxation returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts.
9. Liaise with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements.
10. Introduce, maintain, and improve accounting systems, including advising on computer-based accounting software.
11. Maintain and enhance internal control systems to ensure operational integrity and compliance.
12. Appraise cash flow and assess the financial risk of capital investment projects.
13. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, accounting standards, and professional regulations.

Skills & Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA qualification preferred).
2. Proven experience in accounting, auditing, or financial advisory roles.
3. Sound knowledge of accounting standards and statutory compliance.
4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and strong computer literacy.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.
7. Registration or licensing may be required for specific services such as auditing.
