Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing accounting systems and providing expert financial advice on taxation, compliance, and record-keeping requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in formulating budgetary and accounting policies
2. Prepare financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and statutory bodies
3. Conduct financial investigations, prepare reports, and undertake audits
4. Advise on business transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, capital financing, and insolvency matters
5. Examine operating costs and analyze income and expenditure
6. Ensure compliance with statutory and financial reporting requirements
7. Provide financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans, and operations
8. Prepare and lodge taxation returns for individuals and organizations
9. Liaise with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements
10. Introduce, implement, and maintain accounting systems, including computer-based systems
11. Maintain effective internal control systems
12. Appraise cash flow, profitability, and financial risks for capital investment projects

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. CPA/CA qualification or progress toward certification preferred
3. Proven experience in accounting, taxation, and financial advisory services
4. Strong understanding of accounting software and computer-based systems
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
6. Registration or licensing may be required for certain services such as auditing
