Our company is a well-established grocery and retail business located in Burwood, Victoria. We specialise in Asian food products, fresh produce, seafood, beverages, and household goods, providing customers with authentic and high-quality products sourced locally and internationally. As the business continues to expand, we are seeking a professional and experienced Retail Manager to oversee daily operations, drive sales performance, and lead our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and implement retail strategies to improve sales, customer experience, and store efficiency.

· Manage daily store operations, including stock control, visual merchandising, and staff rostering.

· Monitor inventory levels to ensure consistent product availability and coordinate with suppliers for replenishment.

· Plan and execute in-store promotions and seasonal campaigns to attract and retain customers.

· Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to optimize product mix and pricing strategies.

· Supervise, train, and motivate store employees, ensuring high service standards and productivity.

· Maintain effective supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and product quality.

· Oversee cash handling, budgets, and sales reports to achieve profitability targets.

· Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety, and company operational policies.

· Coordinate with the marketing team to promote products and enhance brand presence within the local community.

Requirements

· Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Retail, Management, or a related field.

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail or supermarket management.

· Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience in staff supervision and training.

· Strong understanding of inventory management, sales reporting, and retail operations.

· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a customer-focused mindset.

· Experience with POS systems and retail management software will be highly regarded.

· Knowledge of Asian grocery products and market trends is desirable.
