Shikha Transport operates a modern fleet including quad and super-quad trailer combinations to optimise payload and reduce vehicle movements. The company provides integrated, end-to-end logistics solutions tailored to mining, construction, and farming clients.

Shikha Transport is seeking full-time, experienced Diesel Mechanics to join its dedicated maintenance team in Maddington. This role is vital to ensuring the reliability and safety of modern fleet, directly supporting the company operations across mining, agriculture, and construction sectors.

Essential requirements

· AQF Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.

· Minimum of one year full-time experience as a Diesel Mechanic.

· Proven ability to diagnose, repair, and service a range of heavy vehicles and trailers.

· Strong knowledge of engine (diesel), brake, electrical, hydraulic, and drivetrain systems.

· Experience with diagnostic software and computer-based systems.

· Strong commitment to workplace health and safety procedures.

Key responsibilities are set out below:

· Perform diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and overhaul of heavy vehicles and quad/super-quad trailers.

· Conduct routine maintenance, including safety inspections, oil changes, and lubrications.

· Accurately diagnose faults using modern diagnostic tools and computer software.

· Complete all necessary documentation, including work orders, service reports, and parts requisitions.

· Liaise with workshop supervisors and drivers to prioritize repairs and minimize vehicle downtime.

· Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies, industry standards, and manufacturer specifications.

· Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.

· Perform pre-registration inspections and ensure vehicles meet all roadworthiness standards.
