We are seeking an experienced and proactive Building Manager to oversee the daily operations, safety, and maintenance of our property. The Building Manager will be responsible for ensuring the building runs smoothly, managing contractors and service providers, addressing tenant concerns, and maintaining compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the building, including security, cleaning, and maintenance.
- Manage and supervise contractors, service providers, and building staff.
- Respond promptly to tenant inquiries, complaints, and service requests.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the property is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
- Coordinate and oversee repairs, preventative maintenance, and capital improvement projects.
- Monitor building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) to ensure they function efficiently.
- Prepare and manage budgets, track expenses, and control operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, occupational health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance schedules, and service contracts.
- Assist in emergency response planning and act as the primary point of contact during incidents.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Building Manager, Facilities Manager, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with tenants, staff, and contractors.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in reporting, budgeting, and using property management software.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Fire Safety, First Aid, or Building Management) are desirable.
