What we are looking for:

1. Trade qualification Fitter & Turner, Machinist, with relevant experience with precision manual and CNC milling/lathe work and MasterCam programming.
2. Supervise and lead a team of skilled tradesmen and TAs in the low-volume manufacture of components for Aerospace, Defence, Medical and other sectors.
3. Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team in a dynamic environment.
4. Strong technical proficiency in 3,4 & 5-axis CNC Mills and Lathes.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members, internal stakeholders and external contractors.
6. Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards, with a proactive approach to PPE, hazard identification and risk mitigation.
7. Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including nights as required by operational needs.
8. Previous experience with MasterCAM software will be advantageous but not essential.
9. Coordinate and prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion of production schedules.
10. Conduct inspections, diagnose problems and troubleshooting of nonconforming parts.
11. Collaborate with site management to optimize equipment performance, minimize downtime, and improve overall operational efficiency.
12. Ensure diligent recording of activities on ERP relating to time and work orders.
13. Assist with the training and appraisal of Apprentices and others.
