Cyber Assured is a leading unique Managed IT and Security Service Provider dedicated to providing end-to-end cybersecurity solutions and support to SMBs and enterprise organisatios. We are seeking skilled and experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in our Melbourne office.

This role is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting cybersecurity solutions for both internal systems and customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and manage secure reliable network architectures (LAN, WAN, VPN, cloud connectivity) for internal operations and client environments.

·Design, implement, and manage ASD's Blueprint for Secure Cloud solution within M365 environment for security & governance, ensuring Essential Eight Maturity Level 3 compliance and adherence to ACSC Information Security Manual (ISM).

1. Configure and maintain network hardware and software, including Windows365, firewalls, routers, switches.
2. Implement and manage security policies, backup procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
3. Provide high-level technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution for critical systems including Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM), Entra ID, Defender, ThleatLocker, Duo, Atera, Semion Cloud, Cove Data.
4. Document system configurations, network topologies, and standard operating procedures.
5. Administer and troubleshoot user accounts, endpoints, Microsoft 365, and Azure Active Directory environments.
6. Monitor system performance and network traffic to proactively identify capacity and security risks.
7. Respond to and resolve customer-reported incidents and service tickets in a timely manner.
8. Implement best practices for security compliance and risk mitigation.
9. Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure secure and efficient IT operations.

Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

1. A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology.
2. A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification professional experience in a dedicated Network and Systems Engineering role.
3. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (ISM E8) and tools including Cisco Duo, ThreatLocker, Semion Cloud, WDAC and Cove Data.
4. Proven hands-on experience with advanced administration, including Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS, and PowerShell scripting.
5. In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure management (Azure and M365).
6. Excellent communication, documentation, and client-facing skills.
7. Essential 8 implementation is highly desirable.

Note: The annual salary for this role is AUD $77K - $80K (based on skills and experiences)
