What you will do:

1. Use advanced drafting software and up-to-date industry technologies to produce compliant drawings, 2D/3D plans, technical diagrams, schedules, and documentation for engineering and construction projects.
2. Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and instructions accurately to prepare compliant and precise project drawings.
3. Support engineers and project managers with drafting requirements and maintain comprehensive records of all project documentation.
4. Assist with calculating dimensions, material quantities, and design requirements where necessary.
5. Collaborate with engineers to review project stages, ensuring alignment with technical standards, client requirements, and regulatory obligations.
6. Conduct site measurements, data collection, and inspections to support accurate drafting and project execution.
7. Assess and update drawings during project changes, preparing amendments, revisions, and final as-built drawings.
8. Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, engineering codes, project specifications, and workplace safety requirements.

What you should have:

1. Degree, diploma, or formal qualification in Engineering Drafting, Civil Engineering, Structural Drafting, or a related field.
2. Proven experience working as an Engineering Draftsperson with demonstrated project outcomes.
3. Proficiency with modern drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or similar tools).
4. Familiarity with Australian Standards relevant to engineering drafting.
5. Strong technical comprehension and ability to understand complex engineering information.
6. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
7. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
