Draftsperson – Full-Time Opportunity

Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality technical drawings and documentation for civil, structural, and construction projects. The role involves working closely with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant design output.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans and specifications for construction and infrastructure projects.
- Use CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, ArchiCAD or MicroStation.
- Interpret engineering and architectural briefs, applying relevant Australian Standards and construction codes.
- Conduct site measurements, land surveys and collect required field data for drafting accuracy.
- Analyse and interpret technical data to support design development and project planning.
- Review, amend and update drawings in accordance with feedback and project requirements.
- Maintain organised documentation and ensure compliance with design and industry standards.
- Participate in tender preparation, feasibility studies and technical reporting.
- Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers and other stakeholders throughout project delivery.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related discipline.
- Minimum of a year drafting or design experience.
- Proficiency in CAD drafting software.
- Strong understanding of Australian construction standards and regulations.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines effectively.
Employment Conditions
- Annual salary: AUD $85,000 plus superannuation (12.5%).
- Full-time, 38-hour work week (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm).
