About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining network systems to ensure reliable and secure operations. You will troubleshoot network issues, optimise performance, and support upgrades to hardware, software, and infrastructure. The role also involves monitoring network activity, ensuring system security, managing user access, and maintaining accurate technical documentation. Flexibility to work on weekdays and weekends may be required based on operational and project needs.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Conducting research and ongoing analysis of network infrastructure to ensure configurations support peak performance.
2. Reviewing, creating, interpreting and assessing detailed system designs, architecture plans, data models and technical diagrams to support the development, setup and integration of computer systems.
3. Identifying issues and recommending upgrades to network operations, including improvements to hardware, software, communication systems and operating environments.
4. Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining and administering new or updated networks, servers, databases, applications and workstations.
5. Installing and maintaining IT hardware and software, recording issues and solutions, managing user accounts and security controls, ensuring servers, computers and peripherals operate efficiently, and performing general operational IT tasks.
6. Developing network-related programs and scripts to meet specific organisational requirements.
7. Tracking network traffic, capacity, utilisation and activity to protect system integrity and maintain optimal performance.
8. Offering expert support in diagnosing, resolving and managing network faults, outages and emergency issues.
9. Providing help desk assistance and delivering user training when required.
10. Creating and maintaining documentation for network assets, fault diagnoses, resolutions, system enhancements, modifications and maintenance procedures.

Skills and experience

1. Must have an experience of more than 2 years working as a Network Administrator.
2. Applicant must have Bachelor or higher qualification in the relevant sector.
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow the procedures accurately.
4. Excellent time management skills to meet the deadlines.
5. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
