What you will do:

As a Civil Engineering Draftsperson at Pengyu Build-Up, your responsibilities will include:

1. Prepare, develop, and refine civil engineering drawings, plans, detailed diagrams, and documentation using industry-standard CAD software.
2. Interpret engineering designs, specifications, sketches, and instructions to create accurate and compliant 2D/3D drawings for project submission, tendering, and construction.
3. Draft plans related to structural layouts, earthworks, drainage, grading, concrete works, site plans, and building services in line with project requirements.
4. Assist engineers in calculating dimensions, load requirements, material quantities, and technical parameters to support project design.
5. Conduct site measurements, surveys, data collection, and inspections to ensure drawing accuracy and alignment with real site conditions.
6. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure design intent is met and drawings reflect current standards, regulations, and construction methodologies.
7. Prepare and maintain all drafting documentation, including amendments, revisions, mark-ups, and final as-built drawings.
8. Ensure all drawings comply with Australian Standards, council regulations, engineering codes, and workplace safety requirements.
9. Support project coordination by communicating effectively with stakeholders and assisting with documentation control.

What you should have:

1. Diploma, advanced diploma, or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering Drafting, Civil Engineering, Structural Drafting, or a related discipline.
2. Proven experience as a Civil Engineering Draftsperson, ideally within the construction or engineering industry.
3. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or similar drafting tools.
4. Strong understanding of Australian civil engineering standards, building codes, and typical construction practices.
5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality drafting outputs.
6. Strong technical comprehension, able to interpret complex civil engineering information.
7. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
8. A proactive and safety-conscious approach to all work.
