Job DescriptionAs an IT Administrator & Tester at Maple Community Services Pty Ltd, you will ensure the smooth operation of the organisation’s digital systems and technology infrastructure. Your responsibilities include testing system behaviour, functionality, and data integrity, documenting test outcomes, identifying defects, and supporting issue resolution. You will also troubleshoot hardware and software problems and ensure smooth system performance across all platforms.

Working closely with internal teams, you will provide technical support to staff, manage user access, monitor system functionality, document procedures, and support the implementation of new IT solutions that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

  1. Provide first-line support to staff across all technology-related queries and incidents.
  2. Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems
  3. Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings across all platforms.
  4. Manage company devices (laptops, phones, tablets), including setup, maintenance, and replacement.
  5. Maintain IT documentation, including manuals, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Software & System Testing

  1. Monitor system performance, proactively identifying issues and implementing preventative solutions.
  2. Perform regular system audits to ensure compliance, efficiency, and data integrity.
  3. Troubleshoot software, hardware, network, and access issues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

·Develop and execute comprehensive test plans that outline testing strategy, scope, resources, and timelines.

  1. Test new features, system enhancements, and integrations to ensure functionality, usability, and stability across multiple platforms, browsers, devices, and operating systems.
  2. Identify bugs, inconsistencies, or gaps and document issues for resolution.
  3. Validate workflows and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) before system rollouts.
  4. Collaborate with business teams to refine requirements and ensure technical solutions meet operational needs.

General Administration, Optimisation & Innovation

  1. Oversee and optimise key business systems—including Salesforce—through daily administration, user management, workflow development, reporting, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  2. Maintain strong cybersecurity practices by enforcing security controls, managing access permissions, monitoring for vulnerabilities, implementing backups, and supporting compliance with privacy and NDIS data protection requirements.
  3. Drive innovation by assessing new technologies, contributing to IT projects and upgrades, and automating processes to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
  4. Prepare system and performance reports, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold organisational policies relating to data integrity, safety, and confidentiality.
  5. Deliver training and clear communication to staff on software use, system updates, IT policies, and security awareness, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technology adoption.
  6. Perform administrative and operational tasks such as managing correspondence, escalating urgent issues, supporting data collection and filing, participating in the rotating after-hours roster, and completing ad hoc duties requested by senior management.

Qualifications & Experience and/or Certifications• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).

• At least 2–3 years of professional experience in IT support, software & systems testing, systems administration, or technical helpdesk roles.

• Proven ability to test and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in a multi-user environment.

• Strong understanding of Windows and cloud-based systems, user access management, and data security principles.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical staff.

• Experience in system testing and maintenance, documentation, and process improvement within a service-oriented organisation is highly regarded.
