Our client, MJ & J Food Group Pty Ltd trading as Godden Food Group is a leading Australian foodservice distribution company supplying more than 4,000 dry, chilled, and frozen products to cafés, restaurants, caterers, institutions, and hospitality venues across New South Wales. Operating from an integrated warehousing, cold-chain, and distribution facility, the company services a large and diverse customer base with a strong focus on reliability, value, and operational efficiency.

The business is seeking to fill a full-time Supply Chain Analyst position to strengthen the analytics, planning, and operational performance of its supply chain. This role is critical to maintaining a competitive advantage in the highly time-sensitive food distribution industry, where accuracy in forecasting, inventory control, procurement efficiency, and delivery optimisation directly impacts service quality and profitability.

The primary purpose of the position is to analyse, optimise, and enhance supply chain processes across procurement, inventory, warehousing, supplier management, distribution routing, and delivery performance.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  1. A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field is highly desirable.

·At least two years of full-time experience in a similar role within supply chain, logistics, wholesale distribution, foodservice supply, FMCG, or warehousing environments is required.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  1. Analysing end-to-end supply chain processes including procurement, inventory turnover, warehousing capacity, route efficiency, and order fulfilment performance.
  2. Developing and implementing strategies to optimise supply chain operations and reduce operational inefficiencies, waste, and stock variances.
  3. Conducting demand and inventory forecasting using data insights, seasonal trends, and customer behaviour patterns.
  4. Reviewing product delivery processes, cold-chain logistics, and warehouse workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
  5. Managing route performance analysis including shipment tracing, electronic billing, route compliance, and delivery accuracy.
  6. Designing and maintaining supplier performance reporting through analysis of fill rates, lead times, product availability, and cost impacts.
  7. Supporting warehouse optimisation initiatives including storage layout modelling, replenishment processes, picking performance, and workflow redesign.
  8. Contributing to strategic decision-making through operational, financial, and procurement reporting for senior management.
  9. Identifying organisational gaps and recommending workflow, procedural, or structural improvements consistent with continuous improvement methodologies.
  10. Analysing supply chain and logistics data to identify inefficiencies and optimisation opportunities.
  11. Monitoring inventory levels and providing replenishment recommendations to prevent stockouts and reduce overstocking.
  12. Reviewing daily delivery performance including route efficiency, customer fulfilment accuracy, and compliance with temperature-controlled handling.
  13. Preparing analysis reports on procurement effectiveness, supplier performance, product cost trends, and operational variances.
  14. Supporting the implementation of approved continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
  15. Liaising daily with suppliers, transport partners, warehouse personnel, and senior managers to coordinate the efficient flow of goods.

Skills Requirements:

  1. Strong developed analytical and quantitative skills supported by strong proficiency with ERP systems, forecasting tools, and advanced Excel or data modelling applications.
  2. Strong problem-solving and process-improvement abilities with demonstrated capability to lead or support optimisation initiatives.
  3. Sound understanding of warehousing operations, cold-chain logistics, product handling, and distribution processes within the wholesale food industry.
  4. Strong relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills across stakeholders including suppliers, warehouse teams, transport partners, and management.
  5. Proficiency in supply chain software and data analytics tools.
  6. Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and address inefficiencies in supply chain processes.
  7. Strong understanding of inventory management, route optimization, and logistics coordination.
