About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support civil engineers and site teams in planning, coordinating, and delivering construction works to required specifications, safety standards, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in project planning by interpreting design instructions and selecting appropriate engineering procedures and equipment.

2. Collect and analyse data, conducting computations to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

3. Estimate material costs and ensure that works adhere to contract provisions, regulations, and technical specifications.

4. Inspect civil engineering works and supervise maintenance and repair tasks as needed.

5. Conduct field tests of materials and evaluate their suitability for construction projects.

6. Prepare technical reports, sketches, charts, and designs for civil engineering works.

7. Review work programs for accuracy, adequacy, and feasibility, and suggest improvements or adjustments as needed.

8. Ensure WHS compliance during fieldwork and testing activities.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

A qualification in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline

Minimum 3 years’ experience in civil engineering or closely related fields

Strong understanding of construction methods, structural systems, building codes, and industry standards

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents

Proficiency in CAD or other engineering software (preferred)

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced project environment
