About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Campbelltown, New South Wales. In this role, you will provide key support to our design team, delivering high-quality CAD solutions for EV and water infrastructure, as well as private HV power systems.

Base: $95,000 excluding Superannuation

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will apply your technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills to develop designs that meet industry standards and exceed client expectations.

1. Developing and delivering ASP Level 3 CAD designs in accordance with Ausgrid, Endeavour, and Essential Energy standards.
2. Supporting the design of EV charging and water infrastructure, including private HV power systems.
3. Interpreting specifications, drawings, standards, and regulations relating to electric power equipment.
4. Reviewing, interpreting, and approving engineering drawings and specifications, including circuits, transformers, and circuit-breakers.
5. Producing detailed AutoCAD drafting, including single line diagrams, inverter string layouts, and operation, control, and protection set points.
6. Establishing delivery and installation schedules for machines, switchgear, cables, and fittings.
7. Ensuring quality control of design solutions to meet standards.

About You:

1. Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree or an equivalent qualification.
2. Hands-on experience in EV charging stations, BESS, or other electrical infrastructure projects.
3. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in ASP Level 3 design.
4. Strong understanding of Australian standards and regulations.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Neara, and other relevant design software. Experience with power system software such as SKM or ETAP is highly valued.
6. Experience liaising with DNSPs is a plus.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and an energetic, driven, self-motivated attitude.
8. A current driver’s license.
