Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Application Developer to join our team in a support-focused role. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing a suite of custom-built applications that are critical to our day-to-day operations. You will work closely with stakeholders to diagnose issues, implement improvements, and ensure system reliability.
This is a hybrid position. To ensure a smooth onboarding experience and a solid understanding of our systems and workflows, the selected candidate will work on-site five (5) days per week during the initial training period. Once fully up to speed, the schedule will transition to two (2) days on-site per week.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for internally developed custom applications
• Diagnose and resolve application defects, performance issues, and user-reported problems
• Collaborate with business users and IT teams to gather requirements and implement enhancements
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Java, Angular, TypeScript, and HTML
• Design and maintain database structures, queries, and stored procedures in MongoDB and SQL
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices
• Respond to off-hours support requests when application availability is critical
• Document issues, resolutions, and system changes in accordance with IT standards

Work Schedule & Availability
Standard Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Work Arrangement: Hybrid — 2 days on-site per week (following successful onboarding)
Onboarding Period: Full-time on-site (5 days/week) until the candidate is fully acclimated to organizational systems, workflows, and teams
Off-Hours Support: Candidates must be available on occasion to respond to after-hours or weekend support requests as business needs arise

Required Qualifications
• Proficiency in Java development, including object-oriented design principles
• Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development and UI maintenance
• Proficiency in TypeScript, including strong typing, interfaces, and modern ES6+ patterns
• Solid understanding of HTML for building and maintaining web-based application interfaces
• Working knowledge of both MongoDB (NoSQL) and SQL-based relational databases
• Ability to read, write, and optimize database queries and scripts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a support-oriented mindset
• Effective communication skills — able to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, or cloud-native application deployment
• Prior experience in an application support or help desk role
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
