ABOUT COMMON SENSES

Common Senses is an independent perfume house and sensory brand creating all-natural botanical perfumes, custom scent experiences, workshops and events.

We will be preparing for four signature seasonal experiences each year.

These gatherings will bring together scent, beauty, sensory exploration, community, limited-edition perfumes, and opportunities to experience and sell perfume.

I'm looking for a highly organized, social and proactive person to help make these experiences happen and build the business around them.

This is a small-business role working directly with the founder. You will be involved in everything from event planning and partnerships to marketing, client follow-up and day-to-day operations.

The ideal person is a natural connector: organized enough to keep a hundred details moving, social enough to build relationships, and proactive enough to see what needs to happen next.

THE ROLE

You'll work directly with the founder to plan and execute four major seasonal Common Senses experiences each year while creating the systems and marketing rhythm that support each event. Your job is to help turn the founder's vision into an organized, executable plan.

EVENT PRODUCTION

Help plan and execute four signature events per year, including:

Track deadlines and make sure nothing falls through the cracks
Create and maintain event timelines and task lists
Research and coordinate venues, vendors and event partners
Coordinate event logistics and production details
Manage guest lists, RSVPs and ticketing
Coordinate gifting, supplies and event materials
Communicate with vendors and collaborators
Help coordinate setup and breakdown
Create event checklists and repeatable systems
Assist with day-of-event logistics
Evaluate each event afterward and document what can be improved

PARTNERSHIPS & SPONSORSHIPS
Identify and cultivate relationships with potential collaborators, partners and sponsors.

Responsibilities may include:

Research potential brand partners and sponsors
Build and maintain a partnership prospect list
Reach out to potential collaborators
Follow up consistently
Help create partnership proposals and sponsorship materials
Coordinate partner participation and deliverables
Maintain relationships before and after events
Identify opportunities for Common Senses to collaborate with aligned brands, businesses, hotels, spas, artists and communities

A strong existing local or professional network is a major plus.

COMMUNITY + CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS

Help turn event attendees into long-term Common Senses customers.

Track event attendees and leads
Follow up with prospective clients
Help organize customer and partner information
Assist with outreach for workshops, Scent Oracle readings and custom perfume experiences
Maintain follow-up systems so opportunities don't get lost
Help create simple customer journeys from event ? product ? experience ? repeat customer
MARKETING + CONTENT SUPPORT

The four seasonal events will be the center of the Common Senses marketing calendar.

You'll help create structure around:

Instagram Reels
Social media posts
Email marketing
Event announcements
Ticket launches
Event reminders
Partner announcements
Post-event content
Customer follow-up

You may assist with:

Editing short-form video/Reels
Canva
Scheduling social posts
Preparing email campaigns
Repurposing event content

You don't need to be a full-time social media manager. The priority is helping create a consistent marketing rhythm around each event.

OPERATIONS
Manage and organize business emails
Track tasks, deadlines and follow-ups
Maintain spreadsheets and project-management systems
Research packaging, vendors and supplies
Assist with website updates
Help coordinate online orders and inventory when needed
Create repeatable checklists and systems
Help keep the founder focused on the highest-priority work

IN-PERSON STUDIO SUPPORT

When working in person:

Pack online orders
Track inventory and supplies
Organize packaging and product materials
Clean and reset lab/perfumery supplies
Prepare materials for events, workshops and client sessions
Help maintain an organized, beautiful and functional studio
