We are seeking a reliable, caring, and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at It’s A Small World Preschool and Child Care!In this role, you will play a vital part in our daily routine by ensuring our children receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe environment. Key Responsibilities

• Meal Prep & Warming: Efficiently heat, portion, and prepare pre-planned breakfast, lunch, and snack items according to dietary guidelines and schedule.
• Kitchen Clean-Up: Maintain a spotless kitchen environment, including washing dishes, sanitizing food prep surfaces, and clearing meal carts.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all local health department regulations, food handling safety standards, and childcare licensing requirements.
• Inventory Support: Help track food supplies and report when items are running low.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience in food preparation, school cafeteria work, or childcare kitchen settings preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification is a plus!).
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting required for childcare staff.
• A warm, friendly attitude and a passion for supporting a healthy environment for children.

Position Details

• Job Type: Part-Time (Monday – Friday)
• Hours: 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM each day
• Benefits: Part-time benefits included (Tuition benefits, holiday pay, and paid sick time)
